Polish Paper Cutting
St. Casimir, Canton, parishioner and resident artist Betty Piskor and her dutiful assistants will impart their crafty skills of Polish paper cutting onto followers eager to carry on the Eastern European region's traditions. The Canton resident has been holding traditional Polish craft classes at the parish's Kolbe Center for at least the past 15 years and as time goes on, her flock appears to multiply. The Polish paper cutting class will be held 7 p.m. Oct. 12 and this particular one-session course is now a decade-long tradition for the Polish-American Heritage Committee of St. Casimir and the $2 registration fee merely covers the cost of materials, Ms Piskor said.

Hundreds of prolife supporters gathered in Annapolis March 12 for the 28th annual Maryland Candlelight March for Life. Participants convened at St. Mary's Parish, and then took to the streets of the state capital to oppose human cloning. The evening ended at Lawyers Mall with words from local politicians who plan to support a ban on human cloning.
